My work includes “artifacts” from Photography such as slide film and variable contrast filters. The transparent quality of the filters and film casts a colored shadow when pinned to the wall or to canvas which relates to my past installation work.
The idea behind the mobius is the realization I made that Photography will be ever evolving and changing with new technologies. Photography’s identity is fluid however will always be about capturing light and an image.
This is the first piece that I used a mirror in reference to the mirror inside the 35 mm SLR. This particular mirror in the camera was a place to see ourselves and show ourselves through the images that we made.
