Site-specific Installation of 1 inch slide film dots with a mirror and CMY color projection
The mirror and projection are a reference to the mirror inside the 35 mm SLR. This particular mirror in the camera was a place to see ourselves and show ourselves through the images that we made. Mirrorless cameras are the newest technology with Digital cameras.
In this installation I utilize the 1 inch dots of transparency slide film to create a swarm. Recycling the analog material into the digital language, each 35mm slide becomes 1 dot per inch. Some viewers of this installation, being in Galveston and by the water, read the form to be a school of fish.
